Imaging & Diagnostics

Non-invasive imaging studies that guide accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

5 treatments

01

Kidney ultrasound

Non-invasive sound-wave imaging of the kidneys.

Kidney ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging test that uses sound waves to visualize the kidneys in real time.

It evaluates for stones, obstruction (hydronephrosis), cysts, and solid masses, and is often used to monitor known kidney conditions.

The exam is painless, requires no intravenous contrast, and uses no ionizing radiation, making it appropriate even for patients in whom contrast or radiation is a concern.

It is often a first-line imaging study in urologic evaluation, with results guiding any further imaging or intervention.

02

Bladder ultrasound

Quick painless scan of the bladder, often to assess emptying.

Bladder ultrasound is a non-invasive scan that images the bladder, often to assess emptying and detect urinary retention or structural abnormalities.

It can measure post-void residual urine — how much urine remains after the patient urinates — which is important in evaluating voiding dysfunction and BPH.

The test is quick, painless, and radiation-free, and can be performed in the office at the time of evaluation.

Findings support diagnosis and ongoing treatment planning for a wide range of lower urinary tract conditions.

03

Prostate ultrasound

Sound-wave imaging of the prostate.

Prostate ultrasound is an imaging study that uses sound waves to assess the size, shape, and internal structure of the prostate.

It assists in the evaluation of BPH, in measuring prostate volume, and in guiding biopsies in real time.

The exam provides detailed real-time images and is typically well tolerated.

It is frequently combined with biopsy procedures and remains a key tool in comprehensive prostate evaluation.

04

Testicular ultrasound

Sound-wave evaluation of testicular masses, pain, or swelling.

Testicular ultrasound is a non-invasive scan used to evaluate testicular lumps, pain, swelling, infertility concerns, and possible tumors.

It distinguishes solid masses from fluid-filled structures such as cysts or hydroceles, which is critical to next steps.

The exam is painless, radiation-free, and typically completed quickly in the office.

It is essential in the workup of testicular cancer and a wide range of other scrotal conditions, with results guiding whether further intervention is needed.

05

MRI of prostate

High-resolution, radiation-free imaging of the prostate.

MRI of the prostate is a detailed, radiation-free imaging study that produces high-resolution images of the prostate and surrounding tissues.

It is used to detect and localize suspicious areas before biopsy and to help stage known prostate cancer.

The images can be fused with live ultrasound to enable targeted biopsy of specific lesions, improving diagnostic accuracy.

Prostate MRI is a central part of the practice's modern prostate cancer pathway, from screening through treatment planning and follow-up.
